Eau vive | Maude Rioux-Villard

Updated: Aug 5

Eau vive, a collection of compositions for synthesizer and string ensemble by Maude Rioux-Villard.

This work explores the theme of bathing, both in white water and at home. Maude's inspiration comes from her particular affection for water, the therapeutic properties it has on her, and its sensory quality. Her inspiration comes from swimming in the Outaouais and Gaspé Peninsulas (annual trips to Carleton-sur-mer, her mother's family home), as well as the baths she took at home before bedtime to heal herself during a difficult period in her life.
