Coming from a line of artists that led her to the Real Academia de San Carlos in Mexico City, Aymara Alvarado Sánchez is recognized for her versatility in the fields of visual arts, performance and musical improvisation. She currently combines artistic projects with her professional commitment at LAB, where she facilitates the accessibility and democratization of the arts for all members of the community. Her current approach is to combine old and new methods, in the hope of breaking down boundaries and bridging cultural and environmental differences. Her work ranges from street performance to indigenous ceremonies, combining these multidisciplinary techniques, developing her avant-garde style by interfering with the catharsis of human emotions.
Aymara is one of the guest artists for le Grand Bourdon #3: Drone Morse. Le Grand Bourdon is presented by Centre de production DAÏMÔN in collaboration with the Maison des arts littéraires, under the artistic and technical direction of Michael Caffrey, with artistic contributions by Mafane, Michel Côté, Aymara Alvarado Sanchez and Gretchen Phillips.
